Social and Emotional Learning

Social and Emotional Learning supports students to understand their emotions, develop empathy for others, build positive relationships and make responsible decisions.

At Mother of God School, students participate in a range of social and emotional learning programs and experiences that help them develop confidence, resilience and wellbeing.

Programs and approaches include:

  • The Resilience Project
  • Cyber Safe Classroom
  • Explicit Social and Emotional Learning lessons
  • Circle Time and class meetings
  • Targeted social skills programs where required

These programs support students to build resilience, strengthen friendships and develop the skills needed for lifelong wellbeing.
