Developing safe and responsible digital citizens is an important part of education today. At Mother of God School, students are explicitly taught the skills they need to navigate the online world safely, respectfully and responsibly.
Our school uses the Cyber Safe Classrooms program developed by the Cyber Safety Project. This program provides structured, age-appropriate lessons that help students develop the knowledge and skills to use technology safely and positively.
Through Cyber Safe Classrooms, students explore topics such as:
- Online safety and protecting personal information
- Respectful online communication
- Responding to cyberbullying
- Digital wellbeing and responsible technology use
Cyber safety learning is reinforced through classroom discussions during social emotional learning and partnerships with families to support safe technology use at home.
